Rich satisfying peanut butter may not sound good on beef initially, but once you try it you will keep going back to it. This satay sauce is great on anything and everything, but paired with beef and fresh lettuce cups, it’s a star!

We Provide
  • 10 Oz. Skirt Steak
  • 2 Oz. Peanut Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1 Romaine Heart
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Carrot
  • ½ Oz Cilantro
You Provide
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • Rimmed sheet pan covered with tin foil or parchment paper
  • Sauce Bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Chefs Knife

Preheat broiler to high.

Combine peanut butter, red pepper flakes, soy sauce and juice of ½ lime in sauce bowl. Crush, or finely dice, the clove of garlic and add to the sauce bowl. Stir to combine.

Thinly slice the skirt steak against the grain and cover with the peanut sauce. Place onto the rimmed baking sheet and place under the broiler for 6 minutes.

While the steak cooks, prep the veggies. Cut the cucumber and carrots into matchsticks and set aside.

Remove the cilantro leaves from the stems and set aside. Remove the romaine lettuce leaves from the head and set aside.

Step 6


Use 1 lettuce leaf as a base and add a few carrot and cucumber matchsticks. Once the steak is cooked, top the cups with beef and add a few cilantro leaves for garnish. Serve with a quarter of a lime.
