Description

This quick pizza dough is unconventional but is perfect for quick week night meals. Topped with classic Mediterranean flavors, this will be a crowd pleaser!

We Provide
  • 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
  • 5 Cup Self Rising Flour
  • 4 Tablespoons Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Cup (5 oz) Shredded Mozzarella
  • ¼ Lbs Italian Salami
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • ½ Yellow Onion
  • 1 Oz. Shredded Parmesan Cheese
You Provide
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • Rimmed Baking Sheet
  • Cutting Board
  • Chefs Knife
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin (a bottle of wine works in a pinch)

Preheat your oven to the highest setting. While that heats up start your dough.

Combine all of the greek yogurt and the 1 cup of the self rising flour in a bowl (reserve ½ cup of flour). Use your hands or a wooden spoon to stir until combined. You will use the remaining flour while you kneed the dough. Sprinkle your surface with flour and pour out your dough. Use your hands and knead the dough for 5 minutes, adding more flour if it gets too sticky. Kneading for 5 minutes until it is soft and pliable is key to success.

Once you’ve kneaded your dough for 5 minutes. Use a rolling pin to roll it out into a shape that fits onto your rimmed baking sheet. You have the choice to either roll it out thin or leave it thicker, depending on your preference. Once your dough is shaped, drizzle olive oil on the rimmed baking sheet and use your hands to spread it out. Drizzle a little on the top of the crust and spread with your hands.

Slice the green bell pepper and yellow onion. Use a spoon to cover the pizza with a thin layer of marinara and then cover with the shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with salami, bell pepper, onion and shredded parmesan cheese. Place into your hot oven for 13-15 minutes.

Once your pizza has cooked and is deep golden brown on top, remove from the oven.

To plate, use a knife of a pizza cutter to cut the pizza into slices or squares. Serve next to your side salad.
